New Hires – Better Commutes from Day One

First impressions are crucial, and the County of Santa Barbara is taking this to heart by integrating a partnership with SBCAG into their new hire orientations. Since June 2023, SBCAG has participated in monthly orientation sessions, presenting essential information on alternative commuting options. With 364 employees already benefiting from these commuting insights at a pivotal moment in their career, SBCAG has helped new hires save money while also boosting retention, employee wellness and reducing environmental impacts. This service, available to employers countywide by SBCAG, highlights the opportunities for improved mobility, easing congestion, and cutting emissions to the benefit of both employers and employees.
