Train Alerts via Text and Email

There are many ways to check the status of a train, you should try each one and see what works best for you. FYI northbound train 767 is the one that turns around at the Goleta station and becomes southbound afternoon train 792.

Receiving Text Updates

Amtrak Alerts – Register for Amtrak’s alerts about train delays, particularly for morning train 759 and afternoon trains 767 and 792. They allow you to receive alerts via email or text for up to 6 trains and stations and you can choose the days you want to receive alerts, e.g. Monday – Friday only.  Register Here →

Traffic Solutions Alerts – In the event of a severe delay or train cancellation of Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train 792, we will send alerts which include alternative travel options for local commuters. This text and email service is used during regular business hours (8am – 5pm) and cannot respond to inbound text replies.

Checking Train Status

View Train Location and Expected Arrival Times: The best site for train tracking is Transit Docs. TransitDocs.com shows your specific train on a map as well as details on expected arrival times based on current location. Explore other independent train status websites like DixieLand Software.

Using the Amtrak App or Website: Conveniently check your train arrival and departure status on the Amtrak app or at Amtrak.com under Train Status by entering your train number and station name. The new morning train is number 759. The afternoon return train is number 792 and the late evening train is number 796.

Twitter: Check @PacSurfliners twitter account for updates. You do not need to have a twitter account to see the updates. Go to twitter.com/PacSurfliners and look for updates about morning train 759 or afternoon trains 769, 792 and 796.
